Description

ARENA STAGE HOLDS THE VOICES OF NOW FESTIVAL
Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater will host the Voices of Now Festival, a four-day event featuring original works of theater written and performed by 9 different ensembles. The festival will bring together artists, ages 11-28, from D.C., Maryland and Virginia who have been working with professional theater artists from Arena Stage to devise autobiographical performances. The 2023 ensembles will come together May 17-20, 2023 to perform and discuss their work.

All performances take place in the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle in the Mead Center, 1101 Sixth St., S.W.

Wednesday, May 17th at 7:30 PM Fault Line by the Jefferson Middle School Academy Ensemble
Life Form by the Pre-Professional Ensemble
Lift-Off by the Mentor Ensemble

Thursday, May 18th at 7:30 PM Sideline by the Mead Ensemble
Inside Out by the Luther Jackson Middle School Ensemble
Beneath the Surface by the Wendt Center Ensemble
Friday, May 19th at 7:30 PM Time Limit by the Kilmer Middle School Ensemble
Flight Path by the Holmes Middle School Ensemble
Life Form by the Pre-Professional Ensemble
Saturday, May 20th at 7:30 PM Lift-Off by the Mentor Ensemble

Look Out by the Robinson Secondary School Ensemble
Sideline by the Mead Ensemble
