Good Men Wanted brings to life the true stories of five women who fought in the Civil War disguised as men, blending drama, movement and modern pop music to chronicle this untold chapter of American history. The play is based on the letters, memoirs and historical accounts of the more than 400 women—Union and Confederate alike—who ditched their petticoats for uniforms, serving their country in the bloodiest war in American history before they could even vote.
